Hi Pete, 

     My husband already wrote to you to let you know about how much I like your Diet handbook, but I wanted to write to you myself. 

     I have been training consistently for 4 years, but I never looked a whole lot different. I knew that diet was really important, and I have always ate very well. I decided to follow my local gym's Apex program, but instead of losing weight and inches....I gained weight and body percent fat.Yuck! So I kind of thought that unless I starved myself, I wouldn't be able to look a whole lot different. I continued to train, and then my husband started to follow Skip LaCour's diet and training program. After 9 months, he looked totally different, and so then I knew that I could do something with my diet because I saw how dedicated he was, and the results he produced. He bought your manual off of the web sometime earlier this year. 

     I am in a RN program and haven't had a lot of spare time to read anything but boring MedSurg books, but your manual was small enough to read during one or two cardio sessions at the gym. So I read it, and re-read it and have played with numbers a little bit. I liked how you explained the way insulin has an effect on storing fat, it made total sense to me. It was the first time in all of the "fitness" reading I have done that dieting actually made perfect sense. So I followed it, and by May had lost 10lbs. I have maintained my weight and can actually see a 6-pack peaking through. 

     My brother who is a personal trainer lost 25lbs following it, and my work-out partner lost 6-7lbs (she already looked great), and my brother-in law who lives in Canada is going to order your manual. My husband and I are going to compete in a contest in the East Bay of San Francisco (for fun) and we are to rip up together. I LOVE your book, and thank you for sharing! 

     Your pictures look amazing, and hopefully my husband and I can make it to the Team Universe Championships next year to see you and Skip and others compete. It is very inspiring to see people actually achieve their goals, and without drugs.
